  • Waypoints: let you tailor your route preferences and allow you to pass through a particular area on the way to your final destination.
  • Navigating Mode: lets you passively follow your position on the map.
  • Walking Mode: enables you to make the most out of CoPilot when on foot.
  • Planning Mode: gives you the ability to pre-plan and optimize routes before driving.
  • Lane Change Warnings: alert you to upcoming left exits, ensuring that you have plenty of time to safely get to the proper side of the highway.
  • Side of Street Notification: tells you which side of the street your destination is on, making it easier to locate the right building when you arrive.
  • POI (Points Of Interest) Alerts: notify you when you're approaching petrol stations, restaurants or rest areas.
  • Pick Stops: from the map - tap and hold a road to add an address as a stop.
  • Driver Break Times: help you estimate your final ETA on long or multi-day trips.
  • Route Optimization: re-orders your stops in the most efficient manner.
  • Supports Landscape Mode: (JSLandscape software or Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 Second Edition required).

Live Features:

Powerful navigation features give you the freedom to explore. Real-time Communication gives you the peace of mind that comes with always being connected. Live features are optional and are only usable when you have a wireless internet connection on your Pocket PC.*

  • Text Messages: sent from home or office to the vehicle include large, customizable, one-touch response buttons to ensure driver safety.
  • Real-Time Tracking: of your travels by friends, family and loved ones over a secure Internet connection.
  • Itinerary Updates: including new stops and revised destinations, allow you to coordinate changes to your plans without having to pull over and enter new information.
  • Communication: now includes Live vehicle tracking via the Internet.

* To use the two-way communications feature, you will need a mobile phone connected to your Pocket PC and data service from your wireless carrier.

Desktop Features:

  • The Desktop Trip Planning application is now free and can be distributed to any friends and family.
  • POI Import capability allows you to import and manage custom Points-of-Interest. Build your own POI database from personal contacts, popular destinations, or third-party lists.
  • Data Download Wizard: All trips created with the Data Download Wizard are now transferred to the Pocket PC and can be opened with the "Open Trip" feature.
  • Fuel Cost Wizard: lets you calculate your fuel expenditure.
  • Regionalized POIs mean you can download only the Points-of-Interest that are within your chosen map area, saving you space while giving you access to more than 3 million POIs across the country.

General Pocket PC Requirements
This describes the basic specifications a Pocket PC needs to meet to run CoPilot software.

  • Pocket PC 2002 or Windows MobileTM 2003 (first or second edition)
  • 5MB - 7MB Storage RAM
  • 6MB - 15MB Program RAM
  • CF card required (32 MB minimum) for Pocket PCs with 32 MB device memory
  • CF or SD memory card recommended for Pocket PCs with 64 MB memory

Desktop/Laptop Requirements
In order to transfer map data to your Pocket PC, you must first install CoPilot Live on a personal computer that can connect to your Pocket PC via ActiveSync.
